Revealed: We’re on the Wanderlust Travel Green List. Here’s Why.

The Wanderlust Travel Green list is a HIGHLY anticipated award in the industry where only a handful (a mere 50!) of destinations across the WORLD get the privilege of featuring.

We’ve applied to green lists before. Without success.

Then this year we were encouraged to apply again.

We did, and we are SO PLEASED to have gained recognition for decades of work and communities transformed, more children in school and more trees planted (visibly) changing the landscape of rural Malawi.

“Sustainable is a “catch all buzz word” but what does it actually mean?”

There are very few ways to really know if where you’re going really is sustainable. That’s because sustainability can be so many things, from rewilding meadows to managing water tables and waterpoint repairs to electric cars and saving orphaned elephants.

So, if someone uses solar and runs EV cars, they’re being sustainable. But that’s not the only way.

What we love is how the Wanderlust Travel Green List is highlighting those going above and beyond in the industry to make a positive impact on communities and the environment. We are a part of the list, and so proud.
