Church Groups

Connecting with Jesus across continents? Yes please!

You’ll be living out scripture and bringing encouragement, remarkable stories and prayers back to your church.

We love welcoming churches to Malawi, there is nothing that fills our hearts more than living out our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus with Christians alongside us. As a charity with a Christian ethos, we run our projects with love and integrity.

Projects are accessible to all faiths and denominations. You’ll be working with communities and sharing what it means to honour each other and live with respect and kindness, regardless of faith, race and background. Are you ready for a dose of pure joy?!

Why Malawi?

We have families from churches, church members and youth groups visit. All with a heart to share more of Jesus, through physical help and spiritual encouragement. There are opportunities for Bible study, attending local churches, and sharing in local churches and prisons.

Youth group gatherings

Youth trips bring energy and life to projects. We’ve hosted youth for decades, and they bring the vibes! It really is a trip of a lifetime when young people step out in faith and take on a challenge. If you have a youth night or event and would love us to share, get in touch!

A church trip in 2025

Towy Community Church visited Fisherman’s Rest in early 2025 for two weeks of intense projects, where the weather played havoc with timings and many last-minute shelters in homes and under trees were needed. The team brought fun, Jesus, enthusiasm and encouragement (as well as practical help!). It was a wonderful two weeks.

Your questions, answered

We encourage questions! We offer a Q&A evening with your church. This is a chance to openly chat, ease any nerves, and reassure those who’ll be cheering you on, watching, and praying back home.

Do you take all ages?

Yes, we do. As long as little ones have parents and older team members are fully mobile. There’s a lot of walking on rocky paths and up hills! (not to mention the heat at certain times of year).

What’s the best time to visit?

If you aren’t tied to school holidays or peak seasons, then we advise you travel at off-peak times. Flights will be significantly cheaper, in-country costs stay consistent. October/November is the hottest time of year with temperatures rising to 40+ degrees. September and March/April are temperate. June/July can be quite chilly with temperatures as low as 10oC.
