14 Days Trip

Projects, Park & Tea Region

Trip Overview

Projects, Parks and Malawi’s tea region are the focus of this trip. You’ll be immersed in busy community projects, then slow down in the rolling tea estates of Thyolo—savouring delicate aromas, exquisite tasting and unforgettable dining. Round it all off with a safari trip at Majete Wildlife reserve, where you see elephants, lion and zebra up close. This is a trip that blends community connection, wildlife encounters and some of Malawi’s greatest treasures.

How your experience shapes up

Our 14 day program is carefully crafted to maximize every experience. Your journey begins before you arrive, with introduction and ask-us-anything calls, with hundreds of guests walking through our doors, we’ll calm any wobbles and make sure the tummy butterflies are pure excitement!

In Malawi, you’ll be welcomed at Chileka Airport, before a short drive to Fisherman’s Rest Lodge. Here, you’ll settle into your Malawian home, dip in the pool and soak in the views. Malawi is remarkable—alive with song, hope, and prayer. As you join projects and meet people so eager to share their stories, you’ll be moved in ways that will change your view on life forever. Each experience connects you with people, places, and purpose.

There’s a team behind our projects, making them sustainable, goal oriented and successful. You don’t just get to experience our unique approach to sustainable development, you get to be a part of it. From fixing water points to singing under trees while you shelter from rain, no two days are the same, come see for yourself!

After a week at Fisherman’s Rest you’ll spend a day in Blantyre exploring the city’s history, markets and diving into some good food, then you’ll enjoy a day in Malawi’s tea region, sampling some of the finest teas Malawi has on offer.

We are passionate about sustainable development, but we also believe in the wonder of a safari!  Guided by expert rangers and welcoming hosts, you’ll enjoy the luxury and magic of an exclusive wildlife experience.

At the end of your trip, we may well shed a few tears and sadly wave you goodbye. You’ll leave not as a visitor, but as family.
